Reading slowly
Recent books seem to have very short chapters and I think it's because
we live in an time where everything has to be done in a hurry and reading books quickly is no exception. I recently came across
the notion of reading slowly to meditate and ruminate. People who take a year to read the first 21 chapters of Psalms. Have
you ever tried this? What have you learned from this? Do you think it's a good idea?

We are reading evangelists.
Studies indicate that 10% of the American population reads 80%
of the books. That's unfortunate because books are dynamic, powerful teachers, surrogate pastors, friends with whom to
relax, mirrors for soul searching.
